It’s not too late to sign-up for a free curbside “Chipper Day” pickup. Bayside Acres has two Chipper Days scheduled for the weeks of June 20th and September 19th. This is a free service sponsored by the Marin Wildlife Prevention Authority (MWPA) to help you prepare for fire season by disposing of low-hanging branches and fire-hazardous vegetation on your property.
Reservations are required to participate and the available slots are expected to go quickly. If you want to take advantage of this convenient service, please visit https://www.chipperday.com/marin to review program rules/guidelines and to make a reservation.
Many of you will be happy to know that the pile size limit in 2022 has been increased to 20 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet.
Please Report Your Firewise Activities Today
If you haven’t already done so, please fill in our online form with the hours you have personally put in, or dollars you have spent, so far in 2022 to clear defensible space and harden your home to make it more fire resistant. These reports are needed to maintain our Firewise Neighborhood status which, in turn, can have a positive impact on your home insurance rates.
Sincerely yours,
