In my walks around Bayside Acres I have observed 6 long-needle old-growth pine trees which have died in the last two months. What should homeowners be doing to protect these trees? My arborist advises: “Best to make sure trees are irrigated during dry periods. One could always do a preventive spray to help guard against beetle infestation.”
I urge those of you who have pine trees to watch them closely, and act before it becomes too late.
