The commercial building at the corner of Loch Lomond Drive and Pt. San Pedro Road, in The Village at Loch Lomond Marina development, will be closing as of April 30, 2020. The remaining property owned by Marina Village Associates (MVA) consisting of the unfinished/unsold parcels in The Strand as well as this commercial building and parcel are to be sold. Active negotiations are underway with a potential new owner and there is some thought that a sale might close escrow as soon as mid-April. In anticipation of this sale, MVA has notified the current occupants (the dentist and the cleaners) that they must vacate. They have been under a month-to-month lease for quite some time in anticipation of this circumstance.
The existing building will be razed and replaced with a two-story structure. There will be commercial space on the first floor and residential condos on the second floor. As of May 1, 2021, the Cleaners intends to transition to a pick-up-and-delivery mode (their phone number is 415-299-1379 or 415-726-1190). Until the property sale is complete and negotiations can be held with the new owners, the future occupancy of the commercial space in the new multi-use building remains unknown. In addition, the timing is dependent on the construction schedule which could be two years or longer. The owners of the Cleaners are hoping to be able to return, but it is dependent on those negotiations, the timing and the lease costs.
